Carey Lee Cramer
Claims to fame: Creator/producer of anti-Al Gore attack ad for the 2000 Bush presidential campaign; child molester
All in the Family, Part I: Featured his nine-year-old stepdaughter in anti-Gore ad.
All in the Family, Part II: Was indicted in 2005 on six counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, and one count of indecency with a child by exposure.
What’s worse: The child was his aforementioned stepdaughter.
What’s worse: He molested another child as well, identified only as “another young relative.”
Where he is now: We don’t know. As of mid-2006, there hasn’t been a word about his trial (if it’s happened yet), and a national search of sex-offender registries and convictions databases turns up zilch.
Update, June 17, 2006: Alleged victim testifies in sexual assault trial
Update, June 28, 2006: Man behind anti-Clinton ad convicted
Update, June 29, 2006: Cramer sentenced to six years
Suggested Bible reading for Mr. Cramer:
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
— Leviticus 18:17
